Today, I searched pinterest for “Painted Wedding Cakes” and there went my entire morning! These are totally unique works of edible art that can be anything you want them to be! I found some with illustrations of couples, some with the wedding vows written in beautiful calligraphy, and others that were just flat out gorgeous masterpieces. Here is just a small sampling of my favorites. Enjoy!
There are so many things to love about Brandy and Chad’s wedding at the beautiful and rustic Hope Glen Farm! We’re swooning over all of the DIY details like the framed chalkboards, paper flowers, pennant banners, distressed doors, mason jar escort cards, license plate table numbers… I could go on! The simple and pretty decor played in perfectly with the laid-back feel of the wedding, complete with bags, croquet, and tippy cup! The talented Miss Jess Croshow did an absolutely amazing job capturing every detail!

Succulents are simple, inexpensive, and oh-so pretty! Best of all, they’re versatile! They can easily be incorporated into your wedding look whether you’re going for a modern, classic, rustic, vintage, elegant, bohemian… anything! We’ve been seeing these little beauties everywhere and we absolutely love these gorgeous plants. Their thick, water-filled petals come in so many beautiful colors that can work with any pallet. On top of that, succulents can live for several days without water, which makes them the perfect plant for the DIY bride. Here is a tutorial on making your own succulent wedding bouquet from She Knows. When you’re done with your wedding day succulents, these tough little guys can even be replanted to decorate your home!

Autumn is officially here and what says fall more than pumpkins!? One of our favorite things about autumn is that once fall arrives, everything is pumpkin flavored! From pumpkin lattes to pumpkin spice muffins, we love it all!
Pumpkins also make for some very cute wedding decor! They can be incorporated into so many different styles to add a touch of fall to your wedding. Try painting pumpkins with an interesting pattern or covering them in metallic paint or glitter. You can even use all ivory pumpkins for a classic neutral look.
Who knew pumpkins could be so versatile!?
There is so much inspsiration to be found within the era of speakeasies, the Great Gatsby, and the flappers of the roaring 20s. It has glitz, glam and a sophisticated vintage beauty that we here at SEBC are simply in love with! The Art Deco style is all about over-the-top extravagance and wild, champagne-fueled parties that don’t stop until sunrise. We love the sparkle of silver or gold elements on top of muted backgrounds, the geometric shapes, and the heavy ornamentation. The 1920s are all about going over-the-top and having a great time!
